Directions for setting up and accessing your voice mail:
1. Dial your new voice mail number.
2. When you hear the computer's voice, INTERRUPT the greeting by pressing the "0" ZERO operator key during the greeting.
3. When the computer asks for a pass code, enter your temporary pass code.
4. Now you are inside your voice mail box. We recommend that you create a new four digits pass code and that you record your own greeting.
5. Until you familiarize yourself with the system, you should wait and follow the computer prompts. Once you become familiar with the prompts, you can make your selections at any time.
6. To pick up your messages, follow the steps 1 through 3 and then wait for the computer prompt.
FAST FORWARD A MESSAGE: Press "#" while the message is playing (will advance by 1 second).
REWIND A MESSAGE: Press "*" while the message is playing (will rewind by 1 second).
DIRECTORY (TREE/EXTENSION) BOXES:
1. Set up the main voice mail number using the instructions above. Then hang-up the line.
2. Call the main voice mail number. While the main outgoing message (greeting) is playing, press the two digit number of the directory (extension) that you with to set up. The outgoing greeting of the selected box is going to start playing. While it is playing, press "0" ZERO and follow the instructions above. When the box is set up, hang-up the line. Repeat this step for each directory (extension) box.
Note: Your callers may press "#" at any time to go back to the main message/menu.
- Example:
Main message: "Thank you for calling us. For accounting press 11, for billing press 12, for Mr. Smith press 13, for the company directory press 99"
Box #11: "You have reached our accounting department. Please leave us a message after the tone, or press pound to go back to the main menu."
Box #12: "You have reached our billing department. Please leave us a message after the tone, or press pound to go back to the main menu."
Box #13: "This is Mr. Smith. Please leave me a message after the tone, or press pound to go back to the main menu."
Box #99: "For accounting, press #11, billing #12, Mr. Smith #13. Press # to go back to the main menu.
